AYURVEDIC TREATMENT FOR VARICOSE VEINS

Varosil Capsules

60 Vegetarian Capsules

Varicose veins is a common term for enlarged, dilated, twisted and swollen blood vessels, which tend to bulge and protrude on the skin surface. The word "varicose" comes from the Latin word “varix”, meaning "twisted." Varicose veins are observed in half of people over 40 years old.

Superficial varicose veins may be painful and add an unpleasant appearance to legs. Inflamed veins prevent the proper blood circulation, causing swollen ankles, itching and pain in the legs.

Hemorrhoids are also considered a form of varicose veins.

Spider veins are mostly red or blue color and vary in size. They are closer to the surface of the skin and it is as well a manifestation of varicose veins but in a milder form. Spider veins may appear on the legs or face, covering small or larger areas of skin.

Varicose veins negatively affect the blood flow in the venous system, causing inflammation and pain. It may cause a formation of blood clots. Thrombophlebitis or inflammation of deep veins in the hips and pelvis may lead to pulmonary embolism which may be lethal.

Women are twice more likely to suffer from varicose veins than men. About 10% of adult men and 20% of women are exposed to varicose veins, which is a very common disease.

The common symptoms of varicose veins are: visible blue blood vessels, swelling and pain in the legs. Superficial varicose veins may bulge on the surface like a cord and have bluish color. Heaviness and pain in the limbs without visible blue veins may indicate varicose of deep veins or thrombosis.

In cases of severe varicose veins there might be observed constant pain, peeling of the skin and even appearance of skin ulcers.

Arjuna and Guggul are the plants which are strongly recommended to improve circulation and reduce inflammation.

Sattva Varosil capsules is the Ayurvedic supplement that contains these and other plants and minerals to effectively help in the treatment of varicose veins.

Sattva Varosil capsules help to improve venous blood flow, to dissolve endothelial fat deposits and to restore damaged vein valves. Promotes regeneration of collagenous fibers that, in conjunction with old ones, reinforces the connective tissue of the valves. New endothelium has sufficient tensile strength and facilitates venous flow against the gravity. After dissolving the fat deposits the endothelium in the arteries is restored. Thus, the restriction of blood flow in the extremities (Buerger's disease), which may lead to gangrene, is reversible with Sattva Varosil capsules treatment.

Sattva Varosil capsules improve blood perfusion to the brain, since in processes of restoring vascular endothelial the level of nitric oxide is increased. This opens the way to increase the metabolism of neurons and balances the state of neurotransmitters, which slows down the degenerative processes in the brain caused by such diseases as dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Sattva Varosil capsules help to restore the skin health by stimulating the new formation of collagen and glycosaminoglycan in the skin layers. It also stimulates the immune system, which enhances perfusion of blood to the skin layers. As a result, the improved venous blood flow promotes healing of varicose ulcers, eczema, and scleroderma.

What causes varicous veins?

Arteries carry the blood from heart to all the tissues of the body. Veins return the blood back to the heart for re-distribution. To do this job veins, especially those in the legs, must work against gravity. Muscle contractions in the tibia act as pumps, and elastic vein walls help to return blood to the heart. Tiny valves in the veins are opened when the blood flows to the heart and closed to stop the blood flowing in the opposite direction.

Veins push blood through the valves, which are alternately opened and closed. Surrounding muscles help blood flow. Chronic hypertension causes enlarged veins and vein walls push each other. In this case valves cannot be closed properly and it becomes difficult for muscles to pomp the blood forward. As a result blood starts to accumulate in veins, making them to expand and bend.

Superficial veins have less muscle support than deep veins and its enlargement happens faster. Varicose veins refer to a condition when veins in the legs become varicose, i.e. they become swollen and bulged.

Varicose veins cause permanent swelling and heaviness in the legs and development of black or blue spots on the skin.

Varicose veins also occur because of excessive pressure in the legs and abdomen. This may be caused by different factors such as: age, obesity, pregnancy, hormonal changes, etc. Some deficiencies in the diet may damage the elasticity of veins, causing varicose veins. Moreover, some jobs where the person is standing for a long period of time or performing physical activity, with load on the legs contribute to the development of varicose veins. Wearing tight clothes or a complete lack of physical activity may cause this condition as well.

Aging. As we get older, our veins lose its elasticity and get stretched. The valves in the veins become weak and allow the blood, which should move towards the heart, to flow in the opposite direction. The increased blood flow in veins produces its enlargement and swelling. Veins become blue because of the content of venous blood, which is in the process of redistribution passes through the lungs.

Pregnancy. Some pregnant women develop varicose veins. During pregnancy the blood volume in the body is increased, but the blood flow especially in legs and pelvic zone is reduced. This change in circulation helps to support the growing fetus, but unfortunately it may lead to varicose veins in the legs. Varicose veins occur early in pregnancy and may aggravate in the later terms, when the uterus produces greater pressure on the leg veins. Hormonal changes may also play a role in the developing varicose veins during pregnancy. However pregnancy related varicose veins may disappear successfully without any treatment within three months after the child is born.
